Measure the opening before cutting the trim to size. Position it evenly along the exposed flooring edge and use a fixing method suitable for the subfloor. Ensure the profile is secure without damaging the floor covering.
The Plain Single Edge Gold 0.9m is a neat finishing trim for exposed flooring edges at doorways and room transitions. Its simple profile provides a clean stopping point where one floor finish ends, helping the edge look more secure and professionally finished.
The polished gold appearance adds a warm finishing touch that pairs well with brass handles, gold hinges and traditional interior details. The 0.9m length is ideal for many standard internal doorways.
A plain single-edge profile is intended to provide a neat finish to one exposed flooring edge. Before fitting, confirm that the profile is suitable for the flooring thickness and the change in level at the doorway or transition.
Ensure the flooring is fully installed, neatly trimmed and securely bonded where required. The subfloor must be clean, dry and stable. Measure the opening carefully, then cut the 0.9m profile to length using a suitable fine-tooth saw.
Remove any burrs from the cut edges and position the trim so it sits flat over the finished flooring edge. Dry-fit it first to check that it follows the doorway line correctly and does not create a raised or unstable edge.
Secure the profile using fixings suitable for the subfloor. Check for concealed wiring, pipes and underfloor-heating elements before drilling. Once installed, ensure the trim is firm, level and free from sharp edges.

Keep the gold single-edge trim clear of dust and grit by sweeping or vacuuming the threshold regularly. Wipe the visible surface with a soft cloth and a mild neutral cleaner, then dry it after cleaning.
Avoid abrasive pads, scouring products and solvent-based cleaners, as these can mark the polished finish. Clean up spills promptly, particularly near kitchen, utility or entrance doorways.
Check the trim periodically to ensure it remains securely fixed and that the flooring edge it protects has not lifted.
