For a comfortable, long-lasting finish, fit Star Twist Elite over a quality underlay with gripper around the perimeter of the room. The subfloor should be clean, dry, smooth and stable before installation, and the carpet should be allowed to acclimatise before it is fitted.
Lano Star Twist Elite is a dense, soft twist-pile carpet that brings a more substantial feel to everyday rooms. Its heavier pile gives the surface a rich, comfortable texture, while the twisted yarn helps it keep a neat appearance in busy parts of the home.
Made from bleach-cleanable polypropylene, it is designed to be lived with rather than worried about. The heavy domestic classification, deep pile and dual backing make it a strong option for family homes that want a carpet with comfort, warmth and practical everyday performance.
Lano Star Twist Elite is a tufted twist-pile carpet with secondary backing. Before fitting, check the carpet for the correct colour, quantity and condition. Leave it in the installation room to acclimatise before cutting or joining.
Prepare the subfloor so it is dry, clean, smooth and structurally secure. Use a suitable underlay and gripper system for the floor construction, fitting the underlay flat with closely butted joints and no ridges.
Plan the layout before cutting, ensuring every piece runs in the same pile direction. Keep seams to a minimum and, where possible, position them away from central walkways. Make all joins using an appropriate carpet seaming method.
Stretch the carpet evenly onto the gripper, then trim and secure the edges neatly. Complete doorways with a suitable transition trim and check that perimeter edges, joins and any stair fitting are properly secured.

Vacuum Star Twist Elite regularly to remove loose dirt before it settles into the pile. Areas around external doors, stairs and main walkways benefit from more frequent vacuuming, helping the carpet maintain its even twist texture.
Treat spills promptly by blotting with a clean white cloth; work gently from the outside of the mark towards the centre. Do not rub or soak the pile. Use a cleaner intended for polypropylene carpet, following the product directions and testing it on a spare piece first.
Place protective pads or cups beneath heavy furniture and lift furniture when moving it. Occasional professional cleaning is a useful way to refresh the carpet in well-used rooms.
