Fit the TC47 tile cap as part of the wall tiling and coved-flooring installation, following the manufacturer’s current fitting guidance. Ensure the tile thickness and floor finish are compatible with the 6 mm gauge before installation.
Gradus TC47 is a PVC-u tile cap designed for a neat, durable finish where ceramic wall tiles meet resilient flooring that has been turned up the wall to form a skirting. It covers the exposed tile edge and brings the two surfaces together with a clean, purposeful detail.
This is a small finishing component, but it makes a noticeable difference in washrooms, changing areas, healthcare settings and other interiors where a tidy wall-to-floor junction matters. The Snowdrift finish gives a crisp, neutral look that works particularly well with light tiles and hygienic interior schemes.
Gradus TC47 is a 48mm-high PVC-u tile cap for internal use where ceramic wall tiles meet a resilient floorcovering that has been dressed up the wall as a skirting. The 2.5m profile is designed for tiles up to 6mm thick and provides a tidy transition between the two finishes.
Confirm the tile thickness and the full wall-and-floor build-up before work begins. Prepare the wall, tile backing and floor perimeter so they are clean, dry, level and sound. Measure the installation run carefully and cut the cap to length, allowing for corners and end details.
Fit the tile cap in accordance with the selected tile adhesive and tiling system, ensuring it sits level and provides an even finishing line for the wall tiles. Complete the tiling work and allow the tiled wall system to cure as required.
Install the coved resilient floorcovering to meet the underside of the tile cap, following the flooring manufacturer’s guidance for adhesion, edge finishing and sealing. Check that the completed junction is straight, fully bonded and free from gaps before the area is put into service.

Clean the TC47 tile cap as part of the surrounding tiled wall and resilient-floor maintenance routine. Use a soft cloth or mop with a neutral cleaner to remove residue from the profile and the junction between the tile and coved floor finish.
Do not use abrasive scouring pads, aggressive solvents or strong chemical cleaners that may affect the PVC-u surface. Inspect the cap and adjoining finishes periodically to ensure they remain firmly secured, clean and free from cracked sealant or open joints.
