Position the trim over the carpet join, ensure both carpet edges are evenly held beneath the profile, then secure it with an appropriate method for the subfloor.
The Dual Edge Silver 2.7 m is a long aluminium door bar made for joining two carpeted areas with a clean, even finish. It covers the join at a doorway or room transition, helping the carpet edges sit neatly and look properly finished.
At 2.7 m long, it is a useful choice for wider openings, continuous thresholds or projects where a shorter trim would create unnecessary joins. The polished silver finish is understated and versatile, pairing easily with contemporary flooring and metal door furniture.
This dual-edge profile secures carpet on both sides of the bar, bringing a tidy final touch to the installation. It can be cut to the required length for a more tailored fit.
This 2.7m dual-edge doorbar is designed for longer carpet-to-carpet transitions and can be cut down for several smaller thresholds where required. Measure each opening before cutting, and use a suitable fine-tooth saw to achieve a straight, tidy end.
Prepare the subfloor so it is clean, dry, even and stable. Position the profile centrally over the carpet join, with both carpet edges aligned beneath the retaining sides. Confirm that the trim sits flat and that there is sufficient clearance for the door to open freely.
Fix the bar securely using fasteners suitable for the subfloor. Engage the carpet edges carefully to avoid damaging the pile, then inspect the finished join for an even, firm transition with no raised sections or loose material.

The silver dual-edge threshold requires only simple routine care. Vacuum along the profile when cleaning the carpet to prevent grit collecting at the join, then wipe the visible metal with a soft damp cloth if needed.
Avoid wire wool, abrasive sponges and aggressive cleaning products, which may scratch the silver finish. Check the trim periodically in entrances and other busy areas to make sure it remains secure and that neither carpet edge has worked loose.
