The Dual Edge Gold 0.9 m is a neat door threshold trim designed to join carpet to carpet at doorways and room entrances. Its polished gold finish gives the transition a clean, finished appearance while helping keep the carpet edges tidy.
Made from aluminium, this compact 0.9 m length is particularly useful for standard internal doorways. The dual-edge design holds carpet on both sides of the threshold, creating a smart division between adjoining carpeted rooms without leaving exposed edges.
It is a simple finishing detail, but one that makes a noticeable difference to the overall installation. Choose it where a warm gold tone suits the flooring, hardware or interior style.
Dual Edge Gold is intended to create a tidy join between two carpet edges at a doorway or room transition. Measure the opening accurately, mark the required length and cut the aluminium profile carefully using suitable tools. Remove any sharp edges created by cutting before fitting.
Prepare the threshold so it is clean, dry, level and free from old fixings or loose material. Position the doorbar centrally over the join, ensuring that both carpet edges sit correctly beneath the retaining sides and that the finished surface is even on each side.
Secure the profile using a fixing method appropriate for the subfloor. Work carefully when engaging the carpet edges, so the pile is held neatly without being trapped or pulled. Check the completed threshold is stable, smooth underfoot and does not obstruct the door’s movement.

Keep the Dual Edge Gold doorbar clear of grit and loose debris, particularly at busy doorways where particles can scratch the surface finish. Routine vacuuming around the threshold and wiping the profile with a soft, lightly damp cloth is normally sufficient.
Avoid abrasive pads, strong solvents and highly acidic or alkaline cleaners, as these can dull or damage the gold-coloured finish. Dry the trim after cleaning and check periodically that it remains firmly fixed, especially in frequently used entrances.
