Vacuum regularly and deal with spills promptly according to the carpet-care guidance to help keep the pile looking fresh.
Condor Carpets Lazio Heather is an easy-going cut-pile carpet designed for everyday homes. The heathered colour range gives it a softer, more forgiving look than a plain carpet, helping it work well in family spaces where the floor needs to feel welcoming and practical.
Made from 100% polypropylene, Lazio Heather is durable, simple to care for and available in a wide choice of colours, from calm greys and natural beiges to deeper blues and bolder shades. Its 8 mm cut pile gives a comfortable feel underfoot, while the secondary backing is designed to be fitted with underlay for added comfort and support.
This is a popular choice for house-building, buy-to-let and refurbishment projects because it offers a smart finish at a sensible price point. Available in both 4 metre and 5 metre widths, it can suit many room shapes while helping reduce unnecessary joins and waste.
Acclimatise the carpet in the installation area before fitting, keeping the room at a stable temperature of at least 18°C. Check all rolls for the correct colour, width, batch and visible condition before cutting, as small shade variations may occur between production batches.
Prepare the subfloor so it is dry, smooth, clean and structurally sound. Remove dust, grease, paint, old adhesive and loose debris, then repair any unevenness before installation. The carpet should not be fitted onto a damp or unstable base.
Lazio Heather has a secondary textile backing and may be stretch-fitted over a suitable carpet underlay using gripper around the perimeter. Alternatively, it can be installed using an appropriate approved bonding system where site conditions require this. Select the fitting method, underlay and accessories to suit the room and expected use.
Plan seams carefully and seal all joins using a suitable carpet seaming method. Trim edges accurately around walls and door frames, stretch the carpet evenly to remove ripples, then finish thresholds with suitable door bars or transition profiles. For underfloor heating, switch it off for 48 hours before and after installation and keep the surface temperature below 27°C.

Vacuum Condor Lazio Heather Carpet regularly to remove dry dirt before it settles into the 8mm cut pile. Concentrate on entrances, hallways and other frequently used areas, and use barrier matting at external doors to reduce the grit brought into the home.
Deal with spills promptly by blotting with a clean white cloth or paper towel. Avoid rubbing, which can spread a stain and affect the pile appearance. Use a carpet cleaner suitable for polypropylene carpets when necessary, following the cleaner manufacturer’s instructions.
Arrange periodic professional cleaning for carpets subject to regular household use. Use protective pads beneath furniture and lift heavy items rather than dragging them across the carpet.
