Install onto a clean, dry and level subfloor using a suitable carpet-tile tackifier or adhesive. Check batch numbers before fitting and follow the directional arrows on the reverse of the tiles to achieve the chosen layout. In office areas, use chair mats where appropriate to help protect the carpet surface.
CFS Stratus Carpet Tiles bring more personality to commercial flooring without compromising on performance. The dynamic loop-pile surface has a subtle textured look that works just as well with calm neutral interiors as it does with bolder colour schemes. With 18 colourways to choose from, it is easy to create a floor that feels considered rather than purely functional.
Made from solution-dyed nylon, Stratus is designed for regular use in busy environments. The bitumen backing contains 70% recycled material and gives each tile a stable feel once fitted. Its Class 33 heavy commercial rating makes it a strong option for spaces such as offices, education settings, retail areas and hospitality interiors.
The 50 cm square format keeps installation and future maintenance straightforward. Individual tiles can be replaced if required, which is useful in busy areas where one section may receive more traffic than another.
CFS Stratus Carpet Tiles should be installed indoors over a dry, smooth, clean and structurally sound subfloor. Remove dust, grease, paint, loose material and old adhesive residues, then deal with uneven areas or moisture concerns before fitting. Prime porous or dusty surfaces where required.
Before installation, inspect the tiles for correct batch, colour, size and condition. Keep the room at a stable temperature of at least 18°C and allow tiles to acclimatise loose in the space for 24 hours after removing the outer packaging.
Set out the floor from centre lines to create balanced cuts around the room perimeter. Follow the directional arrows on the tile backing and keep the selected orientation consistent, unless an intentional design layout has been specified. Position each 500mm x 500mm tile snugly against the next without forcing edges or leaving gaps.
Use a compatible tackifier or carpet-tile adhesive for bitumen-backed tiles and the prepared subfloor. Apply it evenly across the installation area, respecting the manufacturer’s recommended coverage, tack time and cure. Consider permanent adhesive where wheeled traffic or particularly intense wear is expected.

Vacuum CFS Stratus Carpet Tiles frequently to remove dry grit before it settles into the loop pile. Give greater attention to entrances, circulation routes and work areas with castor chairs, and use entrance matting to limit the dirt brought into the space.
Respond to spills promptly by blotting with a clean white cloth. Avoid rubbing or over-wetting the tile. Use a cleaner suitable for solution-dyed nylon carpet tiles if necessary, following the product instructions and testing it first in an inconspicuous area.
Plan periodic deep cleaning to match the level of footfall. Retain spare tiles from the same batch for future repairs, allowing individual worn or stained tiles to be replaced with minimal disruption.
