CFS Evolution Carpet Tiles are a design-led commercial tile with a low-profile loop-pile finish and a choice of striking, directional patterns. Unlike a tile that needs to follow one fixed orientation, Evolution can be laid in different directions, giving installers and designers more freedom to create a floor with movement and character.
The 100% solution-dyed nylon 6 pile is made for demanding interiors, while the bitumen backing provides a stable base for a reliable installation. Its Class 33 heavy-commercial rating and continuous castor-chair suitability make it a practical option for workplaces, education settings and other areas with regular footfall.
At 50 cm x 50 cm, the tiles are straightforward to handle and maintain. The modular format also means a damaged or heavily marked tile can be replaced without disturbing the rest of the floor, helping extend the life of the installation.
Acclimatise the tiles in the installation area before fitting. The subfloor must be dry, clean, smooth and structurally sound, with all defects, raised areas, loose material and contamination addressed before installation.
Set out the floor from suitable datum lines and plan balanced perimeter cuts. CFS Evolution tiles can be installed in a range of directions, so agree the chosen layout before adhesive is applied and retain it consistently across the completed area.
Use a carpet-tile tackifier or adhesive compatible with the bitumen backing, subfloor and expected commercial traffic. Apply the adhesive evenly and allow it to reach the correct tack. Fit the 500mm x 500mm tiles closely edge to edge, taking care not to overlap, force or stretch them.
Trim tiles precisely around perimeter walls, door frames and fixed features. Complete transitions with suitable trim profiles and retain tiles from the same production batch for future maintenance.

Vacuum CFS Evolution Carpet Tiles regularly to remove dry soil and help protect the dense loop pile from abrasive grit. Use entrance matting and increase cleaning frequency on busy routes, around reception areas and beneath wheeled furniture.
Blot spills promptly with a clean, white cloth. Avoid rubbing or saturating the tile. Use an approved cleaner for solution-dyed nylon carpet tiles, testing it first on a spare tile before treating a visible area.
Arrange periodic professional cleaning to suit the traffic levels within the space. Keep a supply of matching spare tiles from the same batch so individual damaged tiles can be changed without lifting the wider floor.
