CFS Balance Tiles are heavy-commercial carpet tiles with a subtle linear grid design. The tufted loop pile combines horizontal and vertical lines to create a structured, contemporary look that works well across offices, education spaces and other busy interiors.
Made from 100% polyamide with a stable bitumen backing, Balance Tiles are designed for regular footfall and continuous castor-chair use. The 50cm × 50cm format makes them easy to handle during installation and allows individual tiles to be replaced if an area becomes damaged or heavily soiled.
Acclimatise the tiles in the installation area before fitting. The subfloor must be dry, smooth, clean and structurally sound, with all cracks, uneven areas and surface contamination addressed before installation.
Establish a clear setting-out line and plan the tile direction before applying adhesive. CFS Balance has a grid-style loop-pile pattern, so maintain a consistent orientation throughout the installation unless a specific quarter-turn layout has been approved.
Use a suitable carpet-tile tackifier or adhesive system for the subfloor and expected traffic conditions. Apply it evenly and allow it to reach the correct tack before placing the 500mm x 500mm tiles. Fit the tiles edge to edge without forcing, overlapping or leaving gaps, then press them firmly into place.
Trim perimeter tiles accurately and complete doorways and exposed edges with suitable trims. Retain tiles from the same batch for future maintenance replacements.

Vacuum CFS Balance Tiles routinely to remove dry soil from the textured loop pile. In heavy-traffic locations, such as entrances, corridors and circulation routes, use effective entrance matting and a planned cleaning schedule to reduce grit reaching the floor.
Deal with spills as soon as possible by blotting with a clean, white absorbent cloth. Avoid rubbing or using excessive water, as this can spread the stain and affect the appearance of the loop pile. Use a cleaning product suitable for polyamide carpet tiles and test it in an inconspicuous area first.
Arrange periodic professional cleaning where required by the use of the space. Keep spare tiles from the same batch, as individual damaged tiles can be replaced without disturbing the wider installation.
