CFS Apex Tile is a hard-wearing loop pile carpet tile made for busy commercial spaces. Manufactured from 100% solution-dyed nylon, it has the durability and practical finish needed for areas that see regular foot traffic, such as offices, schools, public buildings and shared workspaces.
Each 50cm × 50cm tile is easy to handle, replace and maintain, making Apex a straightforward flooring choice for larger installations. The bitumen backing provides a stable base, while the low-profile loop pile gives the floor a smart, professional appearance that stands up well to everyday use.
Allow the tiles to acclimatise in the installation area before fitting. The subfloor must be dry, smooth, clean and structurally sound, with cracks, raised areas and loose material repaired before installation.
Plan the layout from the centre of the room or another suitable datum line, ensuring perimeter cuts are balanced and not overly narrow. Check tiles from different boxes to confirm colour and batch consistency, then install all tiles in the same direction unless a deliberate pattern is being created.
Use a carpet-tile tackifier or adhesive system recommended for the subfloor and project requirements. Apply it evenly, allow it to reach the correct tack, then place each 500mm x 500mm tile accurately, pressing it firmly into position. Keep joints tight without forcing or overlapping edges.
Trim perimeter tiles carefully around walls, columns and door frames, then finish exposed edges with suitable trims. Keep spare tiles from the same batch for future replacements.

Vacuum CFS Apex Tile regularly to remove dry soil before it works into the loop pile. Give extra attention to entrances, corridors and other high-traffic zones, using entrance matting where appropriate to reduce tracked-in dirt.
Attend to spills quickly. Blot with a clean, absorbent cloth rather than rubbing, then use a carpet-tile cleaner suitable for solution-dyed nylon. Always test any cleaning treatment in a discreet area first and avoid over-wetting the tiles.
Use periodic professional cleaning when required by the level of traffic and the site’s maintenance programme. If an individual tile becomes permanently marked or damaged, it can be lifted and replaced with a matching spare tile.
