The Carpet Cover Silver 2.7m is a longer screw-down trim designed to join two carpeted areas neatly and securely. It covers the carpet edges along wider openings, corridors and room transitions, helping to protect the join while giving the floor a clean, professional finish.
The profile’s angled underside ribs grip into the carpet pile as it is fixed down, drawing both carpet edges together and helping them stay in place. Its polished silver finish is a versatile choice for contemporary spaces, and the 2.7m length can be cut down to suit the exact size of the opening.
Measure the full carpet join before cutting the 2.7m profile. Cut it with suitable metal-cutting tools, then remove any sharp edges to ensure a clean, safe finish.
Position the cover strip evenly over the join between two carpeted surfaces. Confirm that the carpet edges sit neatly beneath the trim and that the ribbed underside engages across both sides of the pile.
Mark the fixing locations along the length of the profile. Use suitable screws and, where necessary, plugs that match the subfloor type. Secure the strip progressively along its length, checking that it remains straight and flat as each fixing is tightened.
Do not overtighten the screws, as this can distort the profile. Once fitted, inspect the full length to ensure the carpet join is tidy and the threshold is secure for normal foot traffic.

Wipe the silver carpet cover periodically with a soft, damp cloth and dry it afterwards. Use mild cleaning products only; abrasive pads, solvents and strong chemicals can damage the surface finish.
Check the profile and its fixings in frequently used areas. Tighten loose screws promptly and replace the strip if it becomes bent, badly scratched or no longer lies flat.
Protect the trim from heavy dragged loads, which can mark the finish or affect its alignment across the carpet join.
