Ensure the flooring is correctly installed and the seam is closely cut before application. Protect the surface around the join with suitable tape, then follow the manufacturer’s enclosed instructions carefully. Use in a well-ventilated area and wear appropriate protective equipment.
Werner Müller Type A is a 44g PVC cold-welding liquid for creating a sealed joint between closely cut seams in new PVC floor and wall-covering installations. It is designed for double-cut seams, where the adjoining edges meet neatly before the cold weld is applied.
The fine needle applicator carries the liquid into the full depth of the seam, helping form a strong, discreet bond. This product is intended for professional or competent installer use, with careful handling essential due to its solvent-based formulation.
Use Type A Cold Weld on clean, closely cut PVC seams, typically following a double-cut installation method. Apply masking tape over the seam before carefully inserting the tube’s precision pin into the joint and applying the welding liquid evenly; the liquid penetrates the seam to form a strong, nearly invisible bond. The 44g tube provides approximately 20 linear metres of coverage, with the seam becoming walkable after approximately 30 minutes and fully curing in around 1 hour. Always follow the manufacturer’s application instructions and use appropriate ventilation and personal protective equipment when handling the product.
