Install Jumpax on a clean, dry and stable subfloor in accordance with the manufacturer’s fitting instructions. Lay the base boards first, then position the top boards as directed to create the finished surface. Check the proposed floorcovering adhesive and any underfloor-heating requirements before installation.
Jumpax 10mm Dual Underlay System is a dry, floating subfloor system designed to create a smooth and stable base over many uneven or problem subfloors. It is a practical alternative to wet levelling compounds when time is limited, as the floor can be prepared without waiting for a screed to dry.
The system uses interlocking base and top boards that form a firm 10 mm layer beneath the finished floor. It is suitable for glue-down resilient flooring, carpet and carpet tiles, while also offering worthwhile acoustic improvement for homes and commercial projects.
Jumpax 10mm Dual Underlay System is a free-floating, two-layer subfloor-preparation system comprising baseboards and self-adhesive top boards. It is designed to provide a smooth, stable surface for glue-down resilient flooring, carpet and carpet tiles, while helping reduce impact sound.
The existing subfloor must be permanently dry, clean, sound and free from loose debris. Assess moisture and repair significant cracks, movement or uneven areas before installation. Acclimatise unopened boards in the installation room in accordance with the manufacturer’s guidance.
Lay the baseboards with their isolating layer facing down, staggering the joints in a brick-bond pattern. Keep the protective film in place until the top boards are ready to be installed. The top boards must then be laid with their joints offset from those in the base layer so that no joints align.
Remove the protective film progressively and press the top boards onto the adhesive layer, using a rubber mallet or suitable roller to achieve a firm, even bond between the two layers. Check the completed surface for any raised joints, sand minor irregularities where necessary and vacuum thoroughly before applying the final floorcovering.
Use an adhesive compatible with both Jumpax and the selected floor finish. Follow the finished-floor manufacturer’s installation instructions, including any requirements for curing, perimeter detailing and underfloor heating.

Jumpax is concealed beneath the finished floorcovering and does not need separate routine cleaning. Maintain the floor installed above it in line with that floorcovering’s care instructions.
If the final floor is lifted for repair or replacement, inspect the Jumpax surface for damaged boards, open joints or moisture-related deterioration. Replace affected areas before installing a new floor finish, and do not allow the underlay system to remain exposed to water or prolonged damp conditions.
