Vanguard Hometex is a light-domestic cushion vinyl collection combining practical sheet flooring with a choice of wood, tile and stone-inspired designs. It is a straightforward option for refreshing a room where an easy-clean surface and an affordable finish are the main priorities.
The 2mm vinyl has a felt backing to give the floor a softer feel underfoot, along with R10 slip resistance and 15dB impact-sound reduction. Its Class 21 rating makes Hometex best suited to bedrooms and other lower-traffic areas of the home.
Ensure the subfloor is clean, dry, sound, smooth and suitably prepared before installation, removing dust, grease, loose material and other contaminants. Vanguard Hometex has a felt backing and should be accurately measured, cut and installed by a competent flooring professional using a suitable installation method and compatible adhesive where required. Ensure the vinyl is laid flat without creases, trapped air or excessive tension, with seams and edges properly secured. The flooring is 2mm thick, provides 15dB impact-noise reduction and is available in 2m, 3m and 4m widths with 25m roll lengths. It is suitable for underfloor heating when installed in accordance with the relevant requirements. Always follow the latest manufacturer’s installation guidance before fitting.

Vanguard Hometex Cushion Vinyl is an easy-to-maintain flooring solution designed for light domestic use, with a 0.15mm wear layer and R10 slip resistance. Sweep or vacuum regularly to remove dust and loose dirt, then clean with a lightly damp mop using a suitable vinyl floor cleaning product. Wipe up spills promptly and avoid abrasive cleaners, excessive water, steam cleaning and sharp objects that could damage the surface. Use suitable protective pads beneath furniture and avoid dragging heavy items across the floor.
