Install Polysafe Standard on a clean, dry, smooth and sound subfloor using a suitable adhesive. Where an impervious floor finish is required, joints should be hot welded in accordance with Polyflor’s current installation guidance and the project specification.
Polyflor Polysafe Standard PUR 2mm is a heavy-duty safety sheet vinyl for busy commercial environments where dependable slip resistance and practical cleaning are important. Its classic, lightly textured finish is available in a broad palette of colours, making it easy to coordinate with functional, professional interiors.
The 2mm format combines a durable safety surface with a lighter-weight specification than the 2.5mm version of the range. It is designed for areas with regular footfall and provides a wet pendulum-test result of 36 or above using Slider 96, together with an R10 slip resistance rating.
The PUR-reinforced surface supports an efficient maintenance routine, making Polysafe Standard a practical choice for schools, healthcare settings, leisure facilities and public buildings.
Polyflor Polysafe Standard 2mm is a heavy-duty safety sheet vinyl floorcovering. Store the roll in a dry indoor space and allow the sheet material, adhesive and prepared subfloor to acclimatise before installation.
The subfloor must be dry, smooth, clean and structurally sound. Carry out moisture testing and complete any required repair, smoothing or damp-proofing work before fitting. Ensure all dust, grease and loose materials are removed from the surface.
Install the sheet using a compatible adhesive in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions, then roll it thoroughly to achieve an even bond. Where the project requires an impervious or hygienic finish, seams should be grooved and heat welded using the appropriate weld rod.
Complete coving, edges and transition details to suit the installation specification, then protect the floor until the adhesive has cured.

Polysafe Standard 2mm Vinyl should be cleaned regularly to keep its safety surface clear of soil and maintain reliable slip resistance. Remove dry debris daily with a brush, vacuum or dry mop, concentrating on entrances and heavily used walkways.
Use a neutral cleaner and warm water for routine wet cleaning, then rinse away any remaining solution and allow the floor to dry. Where heavier soiling occurs, use suitable cleaning equipment and methods for safety vinyl flooring.
Avoid polishes, dressings and unapproved coatings, as these can reduce the floor’s slip-resistant properties. Prompt spill removal and a planned maintenance routine are particularly important in commercial and public-use environments.
