Altro Walkway 20 is one of the most widely used safety vinyl floors for busy commercial spaces. It is designed for general areas where the floor may regularly come into contact with water, such as corridors, entrances, classrooms, kitchens, washroom approaches and staff areas.
The floor is 2mm thick and made to cope with everyday foot traffic. Its R10 slip rating and PTV of 36 or above provide added grip underfoot, helping make busy spaces safer when there is water or minor contamination on the floor. It is a good all-round option where you need a durable safety floor but do not require a specialist wet-room product.
There are 30 colours in the range, including more neutral finishes as well as brighter options for projects that need stronger visual contrast. Altro Walkway 20 can also be coved and hot welded, making it suitable for areas where a neat, hygienic and easy-to-maintain finish is important.
It shares its colour range with Altro XpressLay, which can be useful where one area needs traditional adhered flooring and an adjoining area would benefit from an adhesive-free installation.
For best results, Altro Walkway 20 should be installed on a smooth, properly prepared subfloor. Hot-welded joins and coved edges are recommended where a more hygienic, sealed finish is needed. This product is intended for general safety flooring applications. For showers, wet rooms and areas used barefoot, choose a specialist wet-area product such as Altro Aquarius.
