Bostik Screedmaster SL C530 Flex is a fibre-reinforced smoothing compound for levelling internal floors where a little movement or vibration needs to be accommodated. It creates a smooth, even surface before installing carpet, LVT, vinyl, tiles or other floor coverings, and is especially useful over properly fixed timber-based subfloors.
The compound is easy to mix with water, flows well and can be applied from 3mm to 30mm in a single application. Its flexible, rapid-setting formula is protein-free and low odour, making it a sensible option for domestic and commercial projects, including work in occupied buildings.
Ensure the subfloor is sound, clean and properly prepared before mixing. Remove dust, loose material, grease and unsuitable residues. Timber substrates must be mechanically fixed and stable; use the appropriate Bostik primer where the substrate or project specification requires it.
Mix the 20kg powder with clean water at the ratio stated in Bostik’s latest instructions, using a clean bucket and slow-speed drill with a mixing paddle. Continue mixing until the compound is smooth and lump-free. Do not add excess water, as this can reduce performance.
Apply the mixed compound without delay and spread with suitable smoothing tools. Screedmaster SL C530 Flex is fibre reinforced and can be applied between 3mm and 30mm in a single layer, subject to the substrate and application requirements. A spiked roller may be used where necessary to release trapped air and help achieve an even surface.
This product is for internal use and must not be left as the final wearing surface. It is suitable for compatible warm-water and electrical underfloor-heating systems, provided the surface temperature remains within the manufacturer’s stated limit. Confirm drying time and floor-covering compatibility before installation.

Screedmaster SL C530 Flex is designed as a floor-preparation compound and should always be protected by the specified floor covering. Keep the cured surface clean, dry and free from dust, debris and site traffic until the next stage of installation.
Wash mixing equipment, buckets and tools with warm, soapy water as soon as the work is complete. Any excess compound should be removed while wet, as cured material will usually need to be removed mechanically.
Before applying adhesive or laying the floor finish, inspect the surface for contamination, damage or unevenness. Allow the compound to cure in accordance with the current technical guidance and the requirements of the selected floor covering.
