Install on a clean, dry and level subfloor using a suitable adhesive. Plan the direction of the structured pattern before cutting and fitting the matting. Vacuum regularly to remove loose debris and keep the entrance looking tidy.
CFS New Drever Entrance Matting in Charcoal gives busy entrances a clean, contemporary finish while providing the performance needed in high-traffic areas. The deep charcoal shade is easy to coordinate with modern interior schemes and is a practical option for doorways, lobbies and reception spaces.
This structured fibre-bonded matting is made from 100% polypropylene and has a dense chevron-style surface designed for heavy commercial use. Its gel rubber backing creates a stable base after installation, while the 2 metre-wide sheet format allows for a continuous, seamless finish across larger entrance areas.
With its Class 33 heavy commercial rating, New Drever Charcoal is a strong choice for spaces that receive regular footfall. The dark tone also helps the entrance retain a smart appearance between routine cleaning.
Before installation, allow the Charcoal 0923 matting to acclimatise in the room. Prepare the 2m-wide installation area so the subfloor is dry, level, smooth, clean and secure. Remove dust, grease, old adhesive, paint, wax and loose surface material, and rectify any defects before fitting.
Inspect the sheet for colour, dimensions and damage before cutting. Plan the position carefully, making accurate cuts around door linings, walls and fixed items. Lay the material flat and without tension before the adhesive is applied.
Use a suitable adhesive for gel-backed polypropylene entrance matting and the specific subfloor. Apply it evenly and follow the adhesive manufacturer’s guidance for spread rate and timing. Lay the sheet accurately, then roll it in the recommended direction to ensure full contact and prevent bubbles or ripples.
Complete exposed edges with appropriate flooring trims and protect the new installation from heavy footfall until the adhesive has cured completely.

Keep CFS New Drever Entrance Matting in Charcoal performing at its best with frequent vacuuming. Concentrate on the main walking line and the area immediately inside the door, where dirt and moisture are most likely to collect.
Absorb liquid spills quickly using a clean cloth or towel. If a stain remains, use a polypropylene-compatible matting cleaner according to its instructions. Avoid scrubbing harshly, saturating the sheet or using bleach, solvents and steam cleaning equipment.
Include periodic intensive cleaning in the building’s floorcare plan for busy entrances. Check the matting’s edges and transitions after cleaning, ensuring it remains securely fixed and presents no raised areas.
