Apply to a subfloor that is smooth, dry, sound and free from dust, grease and loose material. Use a suitable roller to create an even coat, then allow the adhesive to dry to a tacky film before laying the carpet tiles. Coverage will depend on the subfloor’s absorbency and the tile backing.
STYCCOBOND F41 is a carpet-tile tackifier for keeping compatible loose-lay tiles stable while preserving the ability to remove individual tiles later. It dries to a clear, permanently tacky layer that helps prevent movement during normal use.
The 5-litre pack is suited to smaller areas, repairs and phased installations. It is easy to apply by roller and provides a practical solution where worn or damaged carpet tiles may need replacing without disturbing the surrounding floor.
STYCCOBOND F41 5L is a solvent-free acrylic carpet-tile tackifier for compatible dimensionally stable, flat-lay carpet tiles. Its pressure-sensitive film restrains lateral movement under everyday traffic without permanently fixing each tile in place.
The background must be smooth, dry, sound and thoroughly clean before application. Remove dust, grease, loose material and residues that could affect adhesion, then confirm that the subfloor and selected tile backing are suitable for the system.
Apply an even coating with a roller and allow the adhesive to dry clear before fitting the carpet tiles. Set tiles out carefully to the planned pattern, ensuring full contact with the tacky film and a neat alignment across the floor.
At 20°C, the coating normally dries in approximately 20 minutes. Roller-applied coverage is typically 8–22m² per litre, depending on the absorbency of the subfloor and the tile backing. Refer to the F. Ball STYCCOBOND F41 product information before installation.

STYCCOBOND F41 is intended to remain tacky beneath compatible carpet tiles, making it easier to lift individual tiles for replacement or access to the subfloor. Keep the adhesive film and tile backs free from dust before reinstalling any lifted tiles.
Maintain the completed carpet-tile floor using the tile manufacturer’s recommended cleaning routine. The tackifier is resistant to plasticiser migration and suitable for normal wet-cleaning techniques once the installation is complete.
