Expona Control should be professionally installed onto a dry, smooth and level subfloor using the recommended adhesive system. Correct preparation is essential to preserve the flooring’s finish and ensure it performs as intended. Always follow Polyflor’s current installation, cleaning and maintenance guidance.
Polyflor Expona Control PUR is a safety-focused LVT collection for busy spaces where an authentic wood or stone appearance is needed alongside reliable slip performance. It brings together the design flexibility of luxury vinyl tile with enhanced slip resistance that is intended to last throughout the life of the floor.
The range includes wood-effect planks and stone-effect tiles, making it possible to coordinate practical flooring with the wider interior scheme. Its 0.7mm wear layer and 2.5mm construction are designed for very demanding commercial environments, including places with frequent footfall.
Expona Control PUR provides a wet pendulum test result of 36 or above using Slider 96, together with R10 slip resistance. This makes it a strong choice for projects where a standard decorative LVT may not provide the required level of slip performance.
Polyflor Expona Control is a glue-down safety LVT supplied in plank and tile formats. Store the flooring flat and allow the material, adhesive and subfloor to acclimatise in the installation area before fitting.
The subfloor must be smooth, clean, dry, level and structurally sound. Assess moisture conditions and complete all necessary repair, smoothing and damp-proofing work before installation, as subfloor defects may show through the finished floor.
Plan the layout before adhesive is applied, taking account of traffic flow, feature areas and balanced perimeter cuts. Use a compatible adhesive in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions, lay the tiles or planks within the stated working time and roll the completed floor thoroughly to achieve a secure, even bond.
Keep the fitted floor free from heavy traffic until the adhesive has cured.

Expona Control LVT is a safety floor, so regular cleaning is important for preserving both appearance and underfoot grip. Remove loose dirt and grit frequently by sweeping, vacuuming or dry mopping, particularly around entrances and heavily used routes.
Use a neutral cleaning solution suitable for safety vinyl flooring, following the product dilution guidance. Clean spillages promptly and use sufficiently effective cleaning to prevent the textured surface from becoming clogged with soil.
Do not apply polishes, dressings or other surface coatings unless specifically approved for this flooring. These can affect the floor’s slip-resistant performance. Use entrance matting and protective furniture pads to reduce wear and surface damage.
