Ensure the subfloor is clean, sound and free from dust, grease, loose material and contaminants before use. On highly porous or absorbent subfloors, use a suitable primer to help prevent pinholes and achieve a smoother finish. Mix the complete 4.4kg bottle of liquid with the 20kg powder as directed, without adding extra water or latex liquid. Always follow the latest Mapei technical and safety guidance before application.
Mapei Latexplan Trade No Ammonia is a two-part, fast-setting smoothing and levelling compound for internal floors. Supplied as a 20kg powder bag with a 4.4kg bottle of latex liquid, it is designed to prepare smooth, stable subfloors before the installation of a new floor covering.
Its very low-odour, ammonia-free formulation makes it especially useful in occupied properties and enclosed working areas. Suitable for smoothing new and existing substrates, it provides a practical base for a wide range of domestic and commercial flooring projects.
Mapei Latexplan Trade No Ammonia is a two-part, fast-setting system supplied as a 20kg powder bag and 4.4kg liquid bottle. Prepare the subfloor so it is sound, clean and free from loose material, grease, dust and other contaminants. Although the product can be used on a wide range of substrates, assess each surface and prime highly porous or absorbent backgrounds where required.
Mix the complete 4.4kg liquid component with the complete 20kg powder component using a mechanical mixer until smooth and lump-free. Do not add water, extra latex or other materials to the mix.
Apply the compound from 3mm to 10mm in one layer using suitable smoothing tools. Work promptly, as the product has a limited working time. A spiked roller may be used where appropriate to help release air and achieve an even finish.
Under normal conditions, the compound can receive light foot traffic after approximately one hour and most floor coverings after around four hours. Always check that it is fully cured and suitable for covering, as site conditions and application thickness affect drying times.

Latexplan Trade No Ammonia is designed as a smoothing layer beneath the finished floor covering and is not intended to remain exposed as a final surface. Keep the cured compound protected from impact, dirt, water and follow-on trades until flooring is installed.
Before applying adhesive, make sure the surface is clean, dry and free from dust or contamination. Do not drag equipment across the prepared floor or allow heavy point loads to damage the levelled finish.
Inspect the surface before covering. Any damage, loose material or contamination should be removed and repaired in accordance with the latest Mapei technical guidance.
