Measure the opening before cutting the trim. Once cut to size, position the profile neatly over the flooring edge and secure it with fixings that are suitable for the subfloor.
The Lino Edge 4.5mm Gold is a compact finishing trim for thicker vinyl and lino floor coverings. It provides a clean edge at doorways and floor transitions, helping to keep the flooring neatly finished where it meets another surface.
With its polished gold appearance, this trim adds a warm finishing detail that works well alongside brass handles, gold fittings and traditional interior styles. The 0.9m length is a useful size for most standard internal doorways and smaller threshold areas.
This edge profile is intended for floor finishes up to approximately 4.5mm thick. Measure the installed flooring thickness first, as the trim must fit the flooring comfortably without being forced into position.
Ensure the flooring has been correctly fitted and that its exposed edge is straight, clean and secure. Check the subfloor is sound and dry, then measure the doorway or run before cutting the 0.9m profile to length.
Use a fine-tooth saw for a clean cut and carefully smooth any burrs. Position the edge profile over the flooring boundary and dry-fit it to make sure it sits flat and follows the line of the floor accurately.
Secure the profile with fixings suitable for the subfloor, checking for concealed pipes, cables and underfloor-heating components before drilling. Do not overtighten the trim. Once fitted, confirm that the edge is stable and safe underfoot.

Clean the gold Lino Edge as part of your normal floor-care routine, removing grit with a soft brush or vacuum attachment before wiping the profile with a damp cloth and mild neutral cleaner.
Dry the trim after cleaning, especially where it is fitted near wet areas. Avoid abrasive cloths, scouring powders and solvent-based products, as these can scratch or affect the polished gold finish.
Periodically check the threshold for movement, loose fixings or damage around the finished flooring edge. Address any raised or loose section promptly.
