Install the BSXPCS1 onto a clean, sound wall surface with a suitable adhesive, following the adhesive manufacturer’s instructions. Pair it with an appropriate cove former and check that the selected sheet flooring is compatible with cap-and-cove installation before fitting.
The Gradus BSXPCS1 is a flexible PVC capping strip made to finish the upper edge of resilient flooring after it has been coved up the wall. It gives the wall-to-floor junction a tidy, professional appearance while helping create a surface that is simpler to clean.
Designed for 2 mm resilient floorcoverings, this black 2 metre profile is an ideal finishing piece for safety vinyl and sheet-vinyl installations. It is usually used with a compatible cove former to create a smooth transition from the floor up the wall.
Part of the Gradus BASICZ range, the BSXPCS1 is a straightforward, dependable solution for commercial environments where practical detailing and hygiene matter.
Gradus BSXPCS1 is a flexible PVC capping seal for finishing the top edge of a 2mm resilient floor covering that has been coved up the wall. It is generally installed with a compatible cove former to create a smooth, hygienic and easily cleaned skirting detail.
Ensure the wall surface and floor covering are dry, clean, smooth and sound. Measure the run accurately, cut the 2m length to size and dry-fit the capping before adhesive is applied. Use a compatible adhesive in accordance with both the adhesive manufacturer’s instructions and the flooring-system specification.
Once the cove former and resilient flooring are in place, press the capping seal firmly along the top of the wall upstand. Ensure it sits evenly, with no gaps, ripples or poorly bonded sections. Form internal and external corners neatly using the appropriate cutting or pre-formed accessories.

Include the BSXPCS1 capping seal in the normal cleaning routine for the adjoining resilient floor and wall upstand. Wipe it with a soft cloth or mop using a neutral cleaner, paying attention to the upper edge where dust can collect.
Avoid abrasive cleaning pads, strong solvents and harsh chemicals, as these can damage the flexible PVC surface. Check the seal periodically to ensure it remains securely adhered and that the floor covering is still firmly held at the wall transition.
