Tarasafe Impression should be installed by a professional vinyl flooring fitter over a clean, dry, smooth and level subfloor using a suitable adhesive. For a durable, hygienic finish, seams should be hot welded where required and the floor should be maintained in line with Gerflor’s cleaning guidance.
Gerflor Tarasafe Impression is a hard-working safety vinyl floor for commercial interiors where reliable slip resistance and a more design-led finish are equally important. Available in realistic wood and mineral effects, it brings warmth and character to spaces that still need to meet demanding safety requirements.
Its R11 anti-slip rating meets HSE 36+ guidance, giving added confidence in busy areas where spills, moisture and regular foot traffic can create a higher risk of slips. The 0.7 mm PVC wear layer and Group T wear rating are built to cope with heavy daily use.
A Protecsol Control surface treatment helps the floor resist stains and makes cleaning easier, without the need for polish during its service life. Tarasafe Impression is also bacteriostatic and fungistatic, supporting hygienic environments such as healthcare, education and care settings.
Tarasafe Impression is a glue-down safety vinyl sheet floor and should be installed by an experienced flooring contractor. Acclimatise the material in controlled site conditions, then prepare a subfloor that is dry, clean, smooth, sound and free from contaminants. Any irregularities must be repaired, as they can show through the 2mm sheet.
Apply the specified adhesive using the correct trowel and working time, then lay the sheet carefully without trapped air or tension. Roll the flooring thoroughly to achieve full adhesive transfer. Plan sheet joints, direction and perimeter details before installation, particularly in busy entrances, wet areas and hygiene-sensitive settings.
Where a sealed floor finish is required, form coved upstands and hot-weld sheet joints with the appropriate Gerflor weld rod after the adhesive has set. Follow the current product-specific guidance for joints, welding, drainage details and underfloor heating.

Gerflor Tarasafe Impression should be swept or vacuumed regularly to remove abrasive grit from its slip-resistant surface. Clean with a neutral cleaner suitable for safety vinyl, using a damp mop or appropriate mechanical cleaning equipment where required, then remove dirty water thoroughly.
The Protecsol® Control surface treatment is designed to support easier cleaning and stain resistance, so no polish or emulsion dressing is required. Avoid abrasive pads, harsh solvent cleaners and unsuitable coatings, as these may affect the floor’s appearance and slip-resistant performance.
