Install onto a clean, dry and level subfloor using a suitable carpet-tile adhesive. Check that all tiles are from the same production batch before fitting. Follow the directional arrows on the back of each tile to achieve the chosen layout, and fit the tiles neatly together without forcing the edges.
CFS Sigma Tile is a dependable commercial carpet tile with a close loop-pile finish that keeps spaces looking neat and professional. It is a practical choice for places that see regular foot traffic, from offices and schools to reception areas and shared corridors.
The tiles are made from 100% polypropylene and have a bitumen backing for stability. Their 50 cm x 50 cm format makes fitting straightforward and helps with future maintenance, as individual tiles can be replaced if a section becomes worn, damaged or stained.
Sigma is available in 13 contract colourways, giving you the freedom to create a subtle neutral floor or introduce stronger colour into the space. It can be installed in a uniform direction or in a chequerboard pattern, depending on the look you want to achieve.
Install CFS Sigma Tiles indoors over a dry, smooth, clean and structurally sound subfloor. Remove dust, grease, paint, old adhesive residues and loose material, then repair surface defects before fitting. Prime porous, chalky or dusty bases where necessary.
Inspect tiles and cartons for matching batch numbers, colour, size and condition before installation. Maintain stable room conditions of at least 18°C and allow the tiles to acclimatise for 24 hours outside their outer boxes.
Set out the floor from centre lines or another agreed reference point to achieve balanced perimeter cuts. Follow the directional arrows on the back of the tiles and maintain the chosen orientation consistently, unless a deliberate pattern layout has been planned. Lay each 500mm x 500mm tile closely against the next without forcing or overlapping edges.
Use a carpet-tile adhesive or tackifier compatible with the bitumen backing and prepared subfloor. Apply adhesive across the full installation area in line with the manufacturer’s coverage and timing instructions. Use a permanent adhesive in areas with intense traffic or wheeled loads where required.

Vacuum CFS Sigma Tiles regularly to remove dry dirt from the loop pile, focusing on entrances, corridors and desk areas where footfall is highest. Use barrier matting at external doors to reduce the amount of grit carried onto the tiles.
Blot spills as soon as possible with a clean white cloth or paper towel. Do not scrub the surface, as this can spread the mark and disturb the pile. Use a carpet cleaner suitable for polypropylene tiles if additional treatment is necessary, following the cleaner’s instructions.
Plan periodic deep cleaning around the actual level of traffic. Keeping spare tiles from the original batch can make it easier to replace a localised damaged or stained section without disturbing the wider floor.
