CFS Formation Tile is a straightforward, hard-wearing carpet tile for commercial spaces that need dependable performance at a sensible price. The plain loop-pile finish gives a clean, consistent look, making it easy to use across larger areas without competing with the rest of the interior.
The 50 cm x 50 cm tile is made from 100% polypropylene with a durable Mexphalte backing. It is rated Class 33 for heavy commercial use, so it is well suited to the regular footfall found in offices, schools, retail areas and shared public spaces.
With 14 plain colours available, CFS Formation can be used to create a calm neutral floor or add a controlled splash of colour. It can also be paired with CFS Formation Linear Tiles where you want to introduce striped pathways, zoning or a subtle design feature.
Acclimatise the tiles within the installation area before fitting. The subfloor must be dry, clean, smooth and structurally sound, with all unevenness, loose material and contamination removed or repaired in advance.
Set out the room using suitable reference lines to give balanced perimeter cuts. Confirm the intended tile orientation before installation and keep it uniform throughout the floor unless a specific design layout has been planned.
Use a carpet-tile tackifier or adhesive compatible with Mexphalte-backed tiles, the subfloor and expected traffic conditions. Apply the adhesive evenly, allow it to reach the correct tack, then install each 500mm x 500mm tile edge to edge. Avoid gaps, overlaps and excessive pressure when bringing tiles together.
Trim border tiles accurately around walls, door frames and fixed objects. Complete exposed edges with suitable trim profiles and retain spare tiles for later maintenance.

Vacuum CFS Formation Tile regularly to remove dry soil and grit from the loop-pile surface. Use entrance matting at access points and clean high-traffic areas more frequently to limit abrasive wear.
For spillages, blot immediately with a clean, white cloth. Do not rub or over-wet the tile. Use a cleaner intended for polypropylene carpet tiles, testing it first on a spare tile or inconspicuous area.
Schedule periodic professional cleaning where required by the level of use. Keep matching spare tiles from the same batch so damaged or permanently marked areas can be replaced easily.
