CFS Atlas Fibre Bonded Sheet is a practical velour floor covering designed for busy spaces where durability, easy maintenance and value are important. Made from 100% polypropylene with an impervious gel foam backing, it provides a stable, hard-wearing surface for a wide range of commercial and residential settings.
Its fibre-bonded construction is suited to areas that need a reliable flooring solution without the cost of a heavier contract carpet. Atlas is anti-static, fire resistant and available in a selection of versatile colours, making it a strong choice for student accommodation, retail, hospitality, leisure and education projects.
Acclimatise the material in the installation area before fitting. The subfloor must be dry, clean, smooth and sound, with cracks, raised areas and surface irregularities repaired in advance.
Plan the 4m-wide sheet layout to minimise seams and make sure all lengths run in the same direction. Check that material comes from the same batch where possible, then allow for accurate trimming at walls, doorways and fixed features.
Use an adhesive or fixing system suitable for gel-backed fibre-bonded sheet flooring, the subfloor and the expected level of traffic. Follow the adhesive manufacturer’s instructions for coverage, open time and application method, and press or roll the sheet into place to achieve an even bond.
Cut seams cleanly and ensure the sheet lies flat without tension, bubbles or trapped debris. Fit suitable trims at exposed edges and thresholds, then protect the installation until the adhesive has cured.

Vacuum CFS Atlas regularly to remove dry dirt and grit from the low-profile velour surface. In busy entrances, corridors and shared areas, use suitable entrance matting and increase vacuuming frequency to limit tracked-in soil.
Treat spills promptly by blotting with a clean, absorbent cloth. Do not scrub, as this can spread the spill and disturb the surface fibres. Use a cleaner suitable for polypropylene fibre-bonded flooring and test it first in an unobtrusive area.
For larger areas or stubborn soiling, follow a planned low-moisture or professional cleaning programme. Avoid saturating the sheet, particularly at seams and edges, and allow the floor to dry fully before returning it to use.
