Vanguard Homestead is a wood-effect cushion vinyl range designed for simple domestic floor updates. With oak and parquet-inspired finishes available, it offers a practical way to create a warmer-looking floor in rooms where real wood would be less suitable.
Its 2.3mm PVC-backed construction provides a comfortable, low-maintenance surface for lighter-use household spaces. Homestead is rated Class 21 for light domestic use and includes R10 slip resistance, making it a considered choice for bedrooms, dining rooms and other lower-traffic areas.
Ensure the subfloor is clean, dry, sound, smooth and suitably prepared before installation, removing dust, grease, loose material and other contaminants. Vanguard Homestead has a PVC backing and should be accurately measured, cut and installed by a competent flooring professional using a suitable installation method and compatible adhesive where required. Ensure the vinyl is laid flat without creases, trapped air or excessive tension, with seams and edges properly secured. The flooring is 2.3mm thick, provides 12dB impact-noise reduction and is available in 2m, 3m and 4m widths with 30m roll lengths. It is suitable for underfloor heating when installed in accordance with the relevant requirements. Always follow the latest manufacturer’s installation guidance before fitting.

Sweep or vacuum regularly to remove dust and loose dirt, then clean with a lightly damp mop using a suitable vinyl floor cleaning product. Wipe up spills promptly and avoid abrasive cleaners, excessive water, steam cleaning and sharp objects that could damage the surface. Use suitable protective pads beneath furniture and avoid dragging heavy items across the floor.
