Install Gradus Latour 2 tiles on a clean, dry, smooth and level subfloor using a suitable carpet-tile tackifier. Plan the layout before fitting, particularly when mixing plains and stripes, and lay striped tiles quarter-turn to achieve the intended design.
Gradus Latour 2 is a durable carpet tile collection created for busy commercial interiors. The range combines plain and linear stripe designs, allowing you to keep a scheme simple or introduce subtle zoning and direction through the floor.
Made with solution-dyed nylon, these loop-pile tiles are designed to hold their appearance in high-traffic areas. Their 500 mm square format also makes them practical to handle, install and replace individually if a section becomes damaged or heavily soiled.
Latour 2 works well in offices, education settings and other professional spaces where hard-wearing performance matters but the floor still needs to feel considered. Plain tiles can be used alone or paired with the stripe designs for a more individual finish. Stripe tiles must be laid quarter-turn.
Gradus Latour 2 is a 500mm x 500mm tufted loop-pile carpet tile with a bitumen backing. Before fitting, inspect all tiles for the correct colour, batch and condition, then allow them to acclimatise in the installation area in line with the flooring manufacturer’s guidance.
The subfloor must be dry, clean, smooth, sound and free from dust, grease, old adhesive residue or other contaminants. Correct irregularities before installation and use a primer or smoothing compound where the subfloor condition requires it.
Set out the room from a central reference line so perimeter cuts are balanced and the tile pattern is consistent. Apply a carpet-tile adhesive or tackifier compatible with the bitumen backing and substrate, observing the adhesive manufacturer’s open time and application instructions.
Lay tiles edge to edge without forcing them together. Where striped Latour 2 tiles are used, install them in a quarter-turn layout as specified by Gradus. Roll the completed installation as appropriate for the adhesive system and protect it from traffic until the adhesive has cured.

Vacuum Latour 2 carpet tiles regularly to remove dry soil before it becomes embedded in the loop pile. Entrance matting at external doors will also help reduce the amount of grit and moisture carried onto the floor.
Treat spills promptly by blotting from the outside towards the centre with a clean, absorbent cloth. Do not rub the spill, as this can spread it through the pile. Use a carpet-cleaning product suitable for solution-dyed nylon, following its dilution and rinsing guidance.
Schedule periodic professional cleaning according to traffic levels. Avoid over-wetting the tiles and allow the area to dry fully before returning it to normal use. If a tile becomes permanently stained or damaged, individual tiles can be replaced provided matching stock is available.
