Polyflor Polysafe Wood FX Acoustix PUR is an acoustic safety vinyl sheet that combines realistic timber and parquet styling with enhanced slip resistance. It is designed for demanding spaces where reducing footfall noise matters just as much as maintaining a practical, easy-clean floor.
The 3.7mm construction delivers 19dB impact sound reduction, making it well suited to education, healthcare, workplace and leisure environments. Its 0.65mm wear layer and safety surface support performance in busy interiors, while the PUR finish helps make daily maintenance more efficient.
Available in a collection of oak and parquet-effect designs, Wood FX Acoustix provides a more natural-looking alternative to plain safety flooring without sacrificing the technical performance required for commercial projects.
Polyflor Polysafe Wood FX Acoustix PUR is a 3.7mm acoustic safety sheet vinyl with a 19dB impact-sound reduction rating. It should be fitted by a competent flooring installer using an approved adhesive system.
The subfloor must be smooth, dry, clean, level and structurally sound. Carry out moisture testing and complete all required smoothing, repair or damp-proofing work before fitting. Do not rely on the acoustic backing to correct significant subfloor unevenness.
Allow the sheet, adhesive and installation area to acclimatise before fitting. Apply a compatible adhesive in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions, lay the sheet without trapped air or tension and roll it thoroughly to achieve a uniform bond.
Where an impervious or hygienic finish is required, seams should be grooved and heat welded using the correct weld rod.

Polysafe Wood FX Acoustix PUR should be cleaned routinely to keep its safety surface free from dirt and to preserve its acoustic flooring performance. Remove loose debris with a brush, dry mop or vacuum, concentrating on entrance areas and high-traffic routes.
Use a neutral cleaner and warm water for regular cleaning, then rinse thoroughly to prevent cleaning residue from building up on the textured surface. Use suitable mechanical cleaning equipment where heavier soiling needs to be removed.
Do not use polish, dressings or unapproved surface coatings, as these can compromise slip resistance. Clear spillages quickly and follow a planned cleaning schedule to keep the floor hygienic and safe underfoot.
